Church Buses FAQ's

REFURBISHING A BUS, WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Our mini buses and midsize buses that are preowned go through a thorough inspection with over 100 parts that are inspected. We either repair or replace items that don’t pass our inspection.  Some parts like alternators and starters, we replace automatically so that you know they will last.  Other parts like brake calipers and pads, steering stabilizers, wheel covers, belt pulleys and tires we replace 90% of the time.  Only if they are almost new do we leave them.  We also paint all of our mini to midsize shuttle buses so that there will be no overlooked blemishes on the bus.

ARE ALL YOUR BUSES REFURBISHED?

All of our small to midsize buses are refurbished unless noted:  sometimes we will have a trade-in that we will sell “As-Is”.  Our coach buses are only cleaned and painted; we try to buy them in a mechanically sound condition.

LOCATION, WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are conveniently located halfway between New York City and Miami on Interstate 95 Exit 17 in North Carolina 15 miles North of South Carolina.
1173 Kenric Road, Lumberton, North Carolina 28360

INVENTORY, WHAT IF YOU DON’T HAVE WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR?

Please call our Sales Department; chances are we will have the bus you want soon.  Our inventory changes constantly.

MAINTENANCE, DO YOU SERVICE BUSES?

Yes, we have a fully equipped Service Department with 16 bays, available to our customers.

PARTS, DO YOU STOCK PARTS?

Yes, we stock most parts for the buses we sell.

AIRPORT, WHAT AIRPORT ARE YOU NEAR?

If traveling by air to visit us, fly into Fayetteville, North Carolina (FAY).  Call us a couple of days prior to your arrival and we will meet you at the airport.

AGE, HOW OLD IS YOUR BUSINESS?

We have been in the bus business for 15 years.  We have been at the Interstate 95 location for 6 years.

DIESEL OR GAS, WHICH IS BEST FOR A BUS?

Contrary to the truth, much of the general public believe that having a gas bus is the best decision, thinking that it is easier to work on and to find a mechanic.  There are reasons why 95% of the professional transportation industry buy diesel; less maintenance, longevity, and fuel mileage. When a diesel will cost an extra $8,000.00 as an option, the professionals still prefer diesel.  Even with 200,000 miles the diesel is still considered “Low Mileage”.  And yes, there are plenty of diesel mechanics.  Diesels have become so popular in light duty trucks now, that most all dealerships have diesel mechanics for the same engines used in most small to mid sized buses.

LUGGAGE, SHOULD I HAVE LUGGAGE SPACE IN MY BUS?

It all depends on whether you will be using it primarily for overnight trips.  If not, you can always put your luggage on seats for the occasional overnight trip.  But you can’t sit in a luggage compartment! In most cases we can add a luggage area or remove it.

FINANCING, DO YOU HAVE FINANCING?

We do not provide “In House” financing, although we do work with many reputable finance companies that can offer you, in most cases, a better deal than your bank.  They offer lower rates, and are faster, because they specialize in bus loans.  Most banks will take about 2 months to close a deal. These specialized bus finance companies normally only take 2 weeks to close and are 2 points less in interest.

OPTIONS, WHAT IF WE LIKE A BUS BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE THE OPTIONS WE WOULD LIKE?

Our Service Department can add most options at a nominal fee.

EXTERIOR COLOR OR GRAPICS, WHAT IF WE WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE BUS COLOR OR GRAPICS?

Our Service Department can change or add paint colors to your bus for a nominal fee.  We can have graphics and lettering taken care of also, just ask our Sales Department.

DELIVERY, CAN I HAVE MY BUS DELIVERED?

Yes, we will deliver your bus to any location in the continental US. Just ask our Sales Department to calculate the fee.  Most of our out of town customers prefer to fly in and drive the bus back themselves.  Just call a couple of days before and we will meet you at the airport.

WARRANTY, DO YOU PROVIDE A WARRANTY?

All of our mini to midsized buses comes with a 3 month 3,000 mile warranty, unless noted.

INSPECTION, CAN I HAVE MY MECHANIC INSPECT THE BUS?

We welcome inspections by any mechanic or inspector of your choice before it leaves our facility.

CANADIAN EXPORT, WHAT WILL I NEED FOR EXPORTING TO CANADA?

We will provide the necessary documents for filling out Canadian import forms at the border.

TAXES, ARE TAXES INCLUDED IN PRICES?

No, taxes are paid when registering your bus in the state that it will be licensed in.  If you will license in North Carolina we will collect taxes and register the bus for you.  If you are from outside of North Carolina, you will be charged no tax here, but will be responsible for the taxes when you register in your state.

DEPOSIT, IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO PURCHASE?

There is no deposit required to purchase. However, we can only hold a bus if you place a non-refundable 10% deposit with us.  The deposit will hold the bus for 2 weeks with the balance due at that time.
